ABOUT PINK BOXERS
Who are we? Why do we do this?
Pink Boxers Distribution, Inc. (PBD) is a company that was founded specifically to support the fight against breast cancer. The company donates
its profits, a minimum of 20% of the purchase price of each item sold, to the American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF). The founder of PBD, Ted Banzhaf, lost his wife Linda to breast cancer on her birthday in 2007, while in her mid 30's after a 5 year battle with this horrible disease.
Pink Boxers Distribution, Inc. is a small company trying to raise big funds for the
battle against breast cancer. Robert Noble, a principal of PBD, was inspired to bring his talents to PBD
because of his sister's continuing fight against this horrible disease. Every member of the Pink Boxers family has been affected by breast cancer in one way or another.
Breast cancer is a horrible disease that affects nearly all of us or our families in one way or another. The facts are simple and paint the picture of how widespread this problem is...awareness is rising across the world. Closer to home, however, those who have been intimately affected by this disease see all the problems that come along before and after the diagnosis. The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) focuses on these problems. Early detection is paramount to survival. As the facts bear out, the younger the patient, the more aggressive the cancer AND the accuracy of mammograms is diminished by the natural density of breast tissue. Today, more and more women in their 20s and 30s, and with young families, are being diagnosed with late stage breast cancer when they have successfully passed mammogram tests. Additionally, the myriad difficulties that arise for families who are fighting breast cancer make this disease extremely expensive.
The key is early detection. If this horrible disease had been caught at an earlier stage, Linda might have lived a longer and more fulfilling life; the life she and numerous others struggling with this disease so greatly deserve.
